BIOGRAPHY

Madhu Malo is the Chief Scientist at Stapgen LLC, where he has spent 25 years focusing on understanding the regulation and function of intestinal alkaline phosphatase, an endotoxin-detoxifying, anti-inflammatory gut enzyme. His research has demonstrated that IAP deficiency is a predictor biomarker for diabetes, supported by a five-year prospective cohort study.

Madhu has developed a stool test for measuring IAP and a protocol for preparing therapeutic-grade bovine IAP, with a clinical trial planned to evaluate its potential for diabetes prevention.
